Mass Transfer Behaviors and Battery Performance of a Ferrocyanide-Based Organic Redox Flow Battery with Different Electrode Shapes

چکیده

The ferrocyanide-based organic redox flow battery (ferrocyanide-based ORFB), based on electrochemistry, has become a potential energy storage technology due to its low price, eco-friendliness, safety, and convenience. However, efficiency poor mass transfer performance hinder the application of ORFB. influence electrode shape (trapezoid, sector, rectangle) are studied numerical model, which is verified by experiments. results show that trapezoid better than sector rectangle electrode. discharge voltage lowest, highest. 4.47% lower battery. uniformity factor value 26.9% higher best design for electrode, contributing ORFBs.
